Karamu Trail Track
Group activities
Outside of our normal trekking times we cater to school groups, tour groups, corporate team building outings and private parties. The times and dates are flexible within the availability of our guides.
We also frequently host scout camps by arrangement.
Combine a horse trek, and a picnic or barbecue lunch. We have a barbecue hot plate and firewood which you can use to cook food that you bring. A great way of getting the team working together.

Other group activities

Suitable for school classes, scouts, youth groups etc. Minimum numbers or prices apply for some activities.
Examples
5 - 20 peopleA 10.00am horse trek for 1-2 hours followed by your picnic lunch
20 - 40 peopleOne half of the group rides horses for 1-2 hours while the other half goes on a hike or bush walk. The groups swap over and the second group rides horses for 1-2 hours while the first group does another activity. For two hour treks recommended trekking times are 10.00am and 1.00pm with a lunch break at 12.00. For one hour treks 10.00am and 11.30am, with lunch break at 12.30
40 – 60 peopleWe can do this in three groups and suggest three treks of just one hour per person at 10.00, 11.30 and 1.30. The other two groups can do any other activity the teachers or organisers care to arrange. Examples are hiking up the hill to the lookout, or using the paddock for ball and Frisbee activities.
We need at least 30 minutes between the end of one trek and the next trek leaving. This gives time to get all the first riders off, and get the next group of riders on and ready to go.
