Public days and times
Saturday, Sunday, School Holidays and Public Holidays (except Christmas day). BOOK ONLINE You must arrive no later than 20 minutes before the scheduled leaving time.
  • 10.00am
  • 1.00pm
  • Saturday night gloworm trek - leaves 30 minutes before sunset (minimum 5 customers required)
Private rides
We offer horse rides outside of public times if guides are available. We welcome school groups, team building and private groups. We need at least 24 hours notice and prepayment is required. A minimum charge applies.
Bookings and prepayment are ESSENTIAL
We have a limited number of horses available so we need to know exactly how many people you want to book and pay for. Bookings that are not prepaid are not guaranteed as confirmed because often unpaid bookings just don't turn up. To save you having to ask too many questions, we put as much information on the web site as we possibly can.
Booking information
  • There is a weight limit of 100kg per person to avoid undue strain on our horses.
  • For short notice bookings - please PHONE or TEXT! Otherwise make a booking request online.
  • Hikers welcome (no charge)! Treks travel about 4-5 km per hour and the hills make a great cardio workout
Children
  • Customers may NOT ride with a child (or baby) on their horse.
  • Preschool children are not permitted on treks.
  • Children must be able to manage on their own horse without assistance.
  • Children 12 years and under must be supervised by their parent or a guardian over 16 on the trek.
  • Lead ponies are for you to lead young children around and do not go on the trek. One lead pony is sufficient for several children taking turns. Each extra lead pony needs a designated person over 16 to lead it.
Parents responsibility
The trek leader and guides are not responsible for supervising your childs behaviour. If they are upset or need reassurance or extra instructions the parent or guardian is expected to willingly assist. If children want to get off and walk, you may need to walk with them. The parent or guardian may also be riding, or walking with the child. A good level of fitness and good walking shoes will be needed if walking.
Rain check cancellations
If it is raining on the farm we will phone your contact cellphone. If you have pre-paid then we can move your booking to another day, or provide a refund. Even if it is raining where you are, it might not be raining on the farm.
Phone Messages
This is a working farm and we are out most of the day. We do carry the cellphone most of the time but sometimes on the farm we are out of reception range or have our hands too full to pick up your call.
Please leave a clear message or send a text or email if we don't answer.
Emails
We check and reply to emails daily. If you email to request a booking please ensure that you receive a confirmation of your booking request. It is important to include your contact phone number in your email. If it is short notice then it is usually best to phone us.
